The EFFORTI-Toolbox is here! The toolbox supports programme designers, evaluators and scientists with comprehensive information on possible gender equality measures in research and innovation and their versatile effects. Part of the toolbox is a log frame generator that supports users in developing and visualizing their own program theories.

Designing an Evaluation Framework for Promoting Gender Equality in Research and Innovation is a project that will come to an end in May 2019. A final public event is foreseen on the 21st and 22nd of May 2019. The project has developed an evaluation framework in terms of an off- and online toolbox to show potential outputs, outcomes and impacts of a variety of Gender Equality (GE) policies, from mentoring to the implementation of gender equality plans.

On the 5th of November, EFFORTI was successfully presented at the largest conference in Europe dedicated to R&I policy evaluation, namely "Impact of R&I at the Crossroads of Policy Design, Implementation and Evaluation". The event took place under the auspices of the Austrian EU Council Presidency in Vienna and was visited by about 250 participants from 39 different countries.

We are pleased to support our colleagues from the ACT project, funded by the European Commission, in their ACT community survey to promote Gender Equality in research and innovation.

The EFFORTI Policy Learning Workshop on evaluation of gender equality in R&I took place in Barcelona on 13th November 2018. More than 40 participants from universities, research centres and public institutions from several European countries participated.

PhD Ea Høg Utoft from the Danish Centre for Studies in Research and Research Policy went, as representative of the EFFORTI project, to this year’s EuroScience Open Forum Conference 2018 (ESOF) in Toulouse, France, 9-14 July.
